The ETSC library has recently been fully renovated and equipped with new shelves, study tables and chairs, and computers. Two reading rooms have been opened as of the Fall Term 2006.
The library
contains abour 40,000 volumes, primarily in Arabic and English.
Fifteen journals are received regularly and access is available
to the ATLA Serials online.
The library's
English collection has many rare books on church history and mission,
particularly in Egypt. The Arabic collection has a great number
and variety of theological studies and classic books.
We are in the process of digitizing and preserving some of the rare books in our special collection. Plans are underway for the development of a collection of rare books and manuscripts, and resources on electronic media (microfilm and CD/ROM) which will be valuable resources for the Center for Middle East Christianity.
